The project is expected to feature Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. Although an official announcement is yet to be made, reports suggest that discussions are progressing positively.

Luv Ranjan keen to cast Sharvari

According to Bollywood Hungama, Luv Ranjan has identified Sharvari as his preferred choice for the female lead. The filmmaker, known for creating youth-centric entertainers, is currently developing the script and finalising key creative aspects before moving ahead with casting decisions.Bollywood Hungama reports, "Luv Ranjan is in talks with Sharvari to play the female lead of his next, which features Kartik Aaryan in the lead.

Sharvari has shown excitement, and is looking forward to collaborating with Luv Ranjan, the man behind some of the best Gen-Z films of the last 10 years."

Script development continues

The film is still in the writing stage, with Luv Ranjan focusing on completing the screenplay before locking the cast. Reports indicate that the filmmaker wants the script to be fully ready before conducting detailed narrations with the actors.Providing an update on the timeline, the portal further stated, "Luv is still writing the script and intends to roll with his directorial by December 2026.

He will narrate his full film to Kartik first, followed by Sharvari towards August 2026. The paperwork will begin once the full narration is done."If everything proceeds as planned, the film could begin production towards the end of the year.

Busy schedule ahead for Sharvari

Even as discussions continue regarding the Luv Ranjan project, Sharvari already has an impressive lineup of films. The actress is preparing to promote 'Alpha', one of the most anticipated entries in the YRF Spy Universe. The action entertainer is scheduled to hit theatres on July 3 and is expected to showcase Sharvari in a completely different avatar. Apart from Alpha, she is also set to headline filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya's 'Yeh Prem Mol Liya'.

Praise for 'Main Vaapas Aaunga'

Sharvari's latest outing, Main Vaapas Aaunga, added further momentum to her career. Reviewing the film, ETimes wrote, "The film belongs to Naseeruddin Shah, who proves why he is celebrated as one of the finest actors in Indian cinema.

He is pitch-perfect in portraying Ishar’s delirium and sadness, and delivers a powerful performance even when confined to a bed. Diljit Dosanjh matches his prowess as a commitment-phobic and unfocused young man determined to help his grandfather find closure and, with it, eternal peace.

Vedang Raina is brilliant as the young Keenu, capturing innocent romance, helplessness, and later embittered self with conviction. Sharvari looks ethereal and charms as Afsana, and essays someone dealing with the pangs of love and fear with panache. Among the supporting cast, Rajat Kapoor is effective as Ishar’s resentful son Iqbal Grewal, while Anjana Sukhani delivers a strong turn as his outspoken daughter-in-law, Meher. Manish Chaudhri and Danish Pandor deserve mention in their brief but impactful roles."
