The Meghalaya Police announced that the wife, who went missing since May 23 in Shillong, surrendered herself at Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur Police Station in the early hours of Monday, a week after her husband's body was found deep inside a gorge in the Cherrapunji area.

A senior police official from Meghalaya told India Today TV that the wife, Sonam, ordered a hit on Raja during their honeymoon trip as she was having an affair.
