The mother of Raja Raghuvanshi, the Indore man who was allegedly murdered during his honeymoon in Meghalaya, has demanded the death penalty for her daughter-in-law, Sonam, who has been accused of hiring contract killers to execute the crime.

Speaking to India Today TV, Uma Raghuvanshi also said that her son was coerced into going on the trip.

"He did not want to go. Sonam booked flight tickets without informing our family. If she has done this, she deserves the death penalty," Uma Raghuvanshi said.
