‘Sheer Nonsense’: Priyanka Chaturvedi Slams Kangana Ranaut After Her Bodyguard Shoves Senior MP

Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi criticised Kangana Ranaut's bodyguard for allegedly pushing RSP MP NK Premchandran.

Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi on Wednesday hit out at BJP Lok Sabha MP and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut after a video went viral where Ranaut’s bodyguard was seen trying to move aside RSP MP NK Premchandran when he attempted to speak to the BJP leader.

She called out the alleged “rude" behaviour of the security personnel of Ranaut as “shameful and unacceptable."

“The CISF’s behaviour on duty for an MP towards another senior MP, Shri NK Premchandran by pushing him aside is shameful and unacceptable. What is this sheer nonsense?" Chaturvedi said in a post on X.

CISF Issues Clarification

Meanwhile, the CISF soon issued a clarification, stating that the person in the video with the Mandi MP was not a CISF officer.

“Respected Ma’am, The personnel as seen in this video do not belong to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Warm Regards, Team CISF," the security agency said in a post on X.

Chaturvedi Reacts To CISF’s Post

After the Central Industrial Security Force clarified that the man in the video is not a CISF personnel, the Rajya Sabha MP said, “So CISF has promptly clarified the person shoving another MP is not their personnel, as Y+ security protectee they are PSOs from Delhi Police. Just as disgraceful since it comes under MHA."

Netizens Call Out Chaturvedi For Double Standard

Meanwhile, netizens came out in support of Ranaut and slammed Chaturvedi, saying why she didn’t slam Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan for roughly treating and pushing a man.

A netizen said, “I hope you compare both the behaviour and the way of pushing, and the way you are standing up for a politician. Let’s see if you have the guts to speak for the common man too. Then we’ll see which is truly better and which is the real misfortune."

Another X user wrote, “Have I missed something? Is there another part to the clip? Where is the pushing?"

Another user said, “You can’t speak against Jaya Bachchan for some obvious reasons, common man’s value is ZERO for people like you. And CISF officer is doing his duty."

Chaturvedi’s slamming of Ranaut came a day after the latter hit out at actor-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan for pushing a man trying to take a selfie with her at the Constitution Club in Delhi, calling her the “most spoilt and privileged woman."

Sharing the viral video of the incident on her Instagram stories, the BJP MP wrote, “Most spoilt and privileged woman. People put up with her tantrums/non sense just because she is @amitabhbachchan ji’s wife. That Samajwadi topi looks like a rooster comb, while she looks like a fighting cock!! Such disgrace and Shame."

On Tuesday, a video of Bachchan went viral on social media in which she had pushed a man who was trying to click a selfie with her.
