Shirur tragedy: Arjun’s mom pens book

Kozhikode: Writer M Mukundan on Saturday launched a book written by the mother of Arjun, the truck driver who lost his life in the Shirur landslide tragedy.Arjun’s mother, Sheela Kuruvachalil, wrote the book Arjun, Ente Makan (Arjun, My Son).

The event was held at the C Kunjikkutti Memorial Hall in Kannadikkal, Arjun’s native village.

Mukundan said the book is not just Arjun’s story but also a story of how people came together with compassion and care for one individual.He added that Arjun’s family feels like his own, and Kannadikkal evokes in him the same feeling as Mayyazhi. He also said the book could help cleanse the minds of those who spread negativity through social media.
