Shiv Sena (UBT), MNS protest against corruption; MLA warns Mumbai may face Thane-like decline if Mahayuti wins

THANE: Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA from Guhagar, Bhaskar Jadhav, urged Mumbaikars to make a "wise choice" in the upcoming civic elections, indirectly saying that that if the Mahayuti took control, Mumbai could face a decline similar to that of Thane.Thane saw a joint protest by the Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS, where the parties spotlighted the recent arrest of deputy municipal commissioner Shankar Patole and what they called rising corruption in the Thane Municipal Corporation. Addressing a rally after the protest, Jadhav criticised the "deteriorating civic conditions" in Thane, whose civic body has been governed by the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena for decades. "Despite having a CM, the city's civic facilities have not improved. The Thane corporation is debt-ridden and struggling to pay salaries and manage daily expenses."
