On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, radio host Bubba the Love Sponge reacted strongly after Nick Hogan filed a lawsuit against him to stop the release of a Hulk Hogan documentary. Bubba spoke on his YouTube channel and made it clear that Nick Hogan, the son of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, is suing the wrong man.

According to Bubba, he does not own or control the film in any way. He also claimed that Nick Hogan is using Hulk Hogan’s money to fund the case against him.

Bubba the Love Sponge responds to Nick Hogan’s lawsuit

Bubba the Love Sponge, whose real name is Todd Clem, said on YouTube that he was wrongly targeted in Nick Hogan’s legal move. The lawsuit, filed in Florida, was meant to block the premiere of a Hulk Hogan documentary set for Friday, September 5, 2025. Bubba stressed that he has nothing to do with the making or ownership of the film.

“I got Nick Hogan suing me to block this documentary. Did you even watch it? Your father isn’t being shown in a bad light at all. And yes, Nick is using Hulk’s money for this lawsuit,” Bubba said during his livestream.Court filings show the documentary is scheduled to premiere on September 5 at a private event, with 500 invitations sent and around 350 to 400 guests expected. Bubba said even Ken Trickel, the lawyer who drafted Nick Hogan’s filing, was invited to the screening.

He added this proves the project is not being hidden and is open for viewing.Bubba also criticized how the legal process was handled. He explained that he has not been officially served with papers and is instead learning about the case through TMZ. He laughed at the fact that some documents were redacted even though he is the one being sued. Also Read: “I’m White, And I’m Proud”: Druski’s Latest NASCAR Video Fuels Debate Over Racist Comedy On Social Media

Nick Hogan files emergency motion as Bubba defends himself

Nick Hogan and his lawyers also filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order to stop the film from being shown.

Bubba questioned why old clips from his radio shows about Hulk Hogan’s health were included in the case, since those clips had nothing to do with the documentary. He further explained that the film connects to the Cox vs. Hogan lawsuit from years ago, a case that was already settled. Bubba insisted the documentary does not harm Hulk Hogan’s image. Instead, he said the project makes Hulk look like a victim and does not blame him.“The actual owner of the film invited Ken Trickel. It makes Terry look good. It doesn’t put him in a bad light at all. Yet here I am, being sued for something I don’t even own,” Bubba said. The documentary premiere is only days away, but with Nick Hogan pushing for a restraining order, the legal fight in Tampa, Florida, could get even more intense. For now, Bubba the Love Sponge says he is not backing down.
