After a record-breaking run at the box office, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s romantic drama Saiyaara has witnessed a sharp dip in collections on its fourth Thursday.
Box Office Collection
According to a report on Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated Rs 25 lakh on Day 28, recording its first major dip since its release. Box office figures indicate that the film recorded its first collection of under Rs 1 crore on Thursday, as major new releases like Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's 'War 2' and Rajinikanth's 'Coolie', took over the spotlight in theatres across the country.Directed by Mohit Suri, 'Saiyaara' opened to glowing reviews and strong word-of-mouth, quickly making its way past the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office in its first week. The film went on to record a total week 1 collection of Rs 172.75 crore. It saw a drop in collections in its second week, earning an estimated Rs 107.75 crore. By week three, the film began losing steam, earning an estimated Rs 28.25 crore. The film recorded its lowest collections so far, earning around Rs 14.1 crore in week 4.
Despite the dip, the film has emerged as one of the highest-grossing films of the year. Its music, performances, and sizzling on-screen chemistry between the leads played a significant role in its sustained momentum over the past month.
Box Office Competition
However, with the arrival of big-budget blockbusters headlined by Hrithik , Jr NTR, and Rajinikanth, the film’s screen count and occupancy have taken a hit. Despite this, 'Saiyaara's cumulative domestic collection now stands at an impressive Rs 322 crore, cementing its status as the current second-highest earning film of 2025, only behind Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhaava'.
OTT Debut
Trade experts note that while the film’s theatrical run is now in its final leg, its performance so far has far exceeded industry expectations, particularly for a debut vehicle. The film is expected to add a few more crores before wrapping up its box office journey and gearing up for its digital release.
