That makes him the fourth-fastest player to ever reach the milestone, trailing only Wayne Gretzky (711), Mario Lemieux (887), and Marcel Dionne (1,257).

Currently, Crosby stands alone as the only active player with at least 1,700 points. He joins an elite group that includes Gretzky, Jaromir Jagr, Mark Messier, Gordie Howe, Ron Francis, Dionne, Steve Yzerman, and Lemieux.

The 38-year-old has been a model of consistency—recording at least a point per game in all 20 of his NHL seasons—and shows no signs of slowing down.
