In the original 'Youth', Simran appeared in a cameo for the song ‘Aal Thotta Boopathy,’ which became a massive hit and marked her presence in Tamil cinema. The Vijay starrer 'Youth' was released in the year 2002.
The movie was a remake of the Telugu film 'Chiru Navvutho' and was directed by Vincent Selva. The movie also featured the actors Sandhya Khan, Natty Subramaniam, Vivek, Madhan Bob, and Bosskey in pivotal roles.
