Soyou, the former member of SISTAR, recently shared that she faced possible racism at the hands of a popular airline. They have also been under fire from various other netizens as well, who have all come forward with their stories.
Now, as per recent reports, they have officially issued an apology to the idol.
Soyou receives formal apology
The airlines issued a public apology to the idol after she shared her story online about how she faced issues while spending time on their flight. She shared that she asked one of the Korean flight attendants to look after her food and let her know what is on the menu. This followed some altercation on the flight, which also prompted the staff manager to meet her as well.
Throughout the 14 to 15-hour-long flight, Soyou shared that she felt extremely uncomfortable, that the flight attendants did not treat her properly, and that she did not eat anything at all during her flight.The idol shared an official post on her social media explaining the situation and how the company has shared an apology with her after she revealed her story on her social media page. Her post explaining the matter stated, “During the flight, after considering a series of events, I submitted my concerns through the cabin crew before landing. This week, I received an apology via email from Delta Airlines. I appreciate everyone who empathized with what I went through over the past week and shared their concern for how I must have felt.
I apologize for causing worry due to a personal matter, and thanks to those who encouraged me after I bravely shared my story, I was able to return to my daily life.”There had also been allegations that the issue had been created from her end, as she was allegedly intoxicated on the flight. In her post, she shared that the rumors are false. Not only that but she also revealed that she is keeping a lookout on anyone who is spreading false information. If any false or malicious information is spread against the singer she will be taking strict legal action against them in the following days.
