Sivakarthikeyan shed kilos for 1960s-set role

Speaking with DT Next, Sivakarthikeyan recently spoke about his diet. “I don’t think I need to share my diet details with you. But to be honest, I'm only eating vegetables, fruits, and soups now. These have now become my daily diet.

I used to love sweets, but now I have complete control over my diet," he said. Sivakarthikeyan further mentioned, “Parasakthi is a period film. It is a story set in the 60s. I have to be at this weight for that character.

That is why I lost weight. In that film, I will wear pants that are chest-high.”

‘Madharaasi’ storms past ₹100 crore

Sivakarthikeyan's recent release, 'Madharaasi,' is doing wonders at the box office. The action entertainer entered its second week of theatrical run with a global box office collection of around Rs 100 crore, and the film is soon to emerge as the second highest grosser of Sivakarthikeyan, surpassing 'Don' and 'Doctor.' 'Amaran' holds the name of Sivakarthikeyan's highest-grossing film, and Rajkumar Periyasamy's directorial, inspired by the life story of Major Mukund Varadharajan, grossed over Rs 300 crore worldwide.

‘Parasakthi’ to feature SK as a revolutionary student

Sivakarthikeyan plays a revolutionary college student in 'Parasakthi', which is directed by Sudha Kongara, and the film reportedly deals with the 1965 Hindi imposition. Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela, Atharvaa, and Rana Daggubati play crucial roles, and the film shooting is progressing smoothly.
