Six arrested for stealing copper wires from power lines in Ramgarh

Ramgarh: A team of cops headed by the subdivisional police officer (Ramgarh), Parweshwar Prasad, arrested six miscreants of a gang active in stealing electric copper wires from the Gola block of the district.

Police also seized 20kg of electric copper wire stolen from power supply lines and recovered a school van allegedly used by the thieves, along with haxa blades and phones from their possession.On Saturday, SP Ajay Kumar said following several complaints of theft of electric copper wire, a team was formed to nab the culprits. “Late on Friday, the team arrested the thieves from Murpa village under the Gola police station and made the recoveries. The team also recovered the tools used in cutting live electric wires from power supply lines.”
