A few days ago, Sonarika Bhadoria announced her pregnancy on social media. The actress, who married businessman Vikas Parashar in February last year, is expecting her first child in December. Talking about preparing for this new phase, she says, “In all honesty, I don’t think one is ever truly ready for motherhood.
But now, the thought of nurturing and caring for a little life fills me with more joy and excitement than fear. It’s less about having all the answers and more about feeling emotionally ready to grow alongside my baby. Every pregnancy is unique, and mine has had its share of cravings, small aversions, and moments of discomfort. But overall, I feel blessed that my journey has been smooth so far. Each phase reminds me of the strength and resilience of a woman’s body, and the beauty of this process.
It truly is magical.” The couple was ecstatic when they learnt the news. The Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev actress shares, “When we found out, it was a mix of overwhelming joy and gratitude. My husband and I shared tears, laughter, and endless hugs. It felt surreal. Since then, we’ve been preparing by having honest conversations, reading, and most importantly, supporting each other emotionally. This journey has definitely deepened our bond.
From doctor’s visits to sharing little anxieties and joys, we’ve grown closer in ways I never imagined.”

She adds, “My family has been my biggest strength. From checking in constantly to guiding me with their experiences and simply being there when I need rest, they’ve surrounded me with love and reassurance. It makes this journey much more comforting.” On balancing career and motherhood, she says, “I believe balance will come gradually. For now, my priority will be spending time with my baby and embracing the early stages of motherhood. I plan to return to work eventually, but at a pace that feels right for me and my family. Pregnancy has already started reshaping the way I look at life. My career and ambitions remain important, but I now find myself focusing on balance, purpose, and creating a nurturing environment for my child.
It’s teaching me patience and perspective.”
