Special control rooms set up across Andhra Pradesh to tackle cyclone impact

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has established special control rooms in all district collectorates to monitor and manage the situation arising from the cyclone, which has caused heavy rains and disruptions across several parts of the State.

Collectors across the State are closely monitoring the situation as heavy rains have continued to lash Andhra Pradesh for the past 24 hours.

District administrations have urged the public to stay indoors and to contact their local control rooms in case of emergencies such as flooding or cyclone-related distress.

The control rooms have been established at Chittoor (08572-242777, 9491077325), Nellore (0861-2331261, 7995576699), Kakinada (0884-2356801), Bapatla (0863-2234014), Guntur (0864-3220226), and Kadapa (08562-246344).

The A.P. State Disaster Management Authority is continuously monitoring the cyclone and issuing weather updates. The latest forecast indicates moderate rains in Rayalaseema and coastal regions, and heavy rainfall in Tirupati, Chittoor, Kurnool, Kadapa, Nellore, Prakasam, Bapatla, Guntur, and Palnadu districts.
