Special Go Puja was performed on the occasion of Krishnastami at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam on Saturday.
The temple authorities, who conduct Go Puja daily at Sri Gokulam within the premises, held special rituals to honour cows and their calves on the festive day.
Temple Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao took part in the puja and offered prayers. Priests performed Maha Ganapati Puja and other rituals, seeking blessings for timely rains, a good harvest, prosperity of the State and country, and protection from natural calamities and accidents.
Special prayers were also performed at the temple’s cow shelter in honour of Lord Krishna and the cows, underscoring the spiritual significance of Krishnastami at Srisailam.
