Mr. Stalin also announced an increase in the pension of noon-meal organisers, anganwadi workers, and panchayat union clerks. Their monthly pension will be raised from ₹2,000 to ₹3,400, while the total amount paid at the time of retirement will be increased from ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh.
The special pension for mini anganwadi workers and forest frontline staff workers will be increased from ₹2,000 to ₹3,200, with retirement benefits raised from ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh.

The retirement benefit for these categories will be enhanced from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh. The Chief Minister also announced an increase in the family pension for anganwadi workers, assistants, cooks, cooking assistants, and others. “This will benefit workers as well as one-and-a-half lakh retired workers and their families,” he said.
