Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana has directed officials of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) and Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) to expedite capital city development works in line with the priority accorded by the State government.

At a review meeting held at the CRDA head office on Sunday, Mr. Narayana emphasised the importance of proper planning and instructed officials to ensure that work continues without disruption, even during the monsoon, to meet project timelines.

CRDA Engineer-in-Chief R. Gopalakrishna Reddy presented an update on the progress of the works and said that activities were proceeding at the desired pace.

Meanwhile, CRDA officials on July 19 allotted 138 returnable plots to 59 land contributors through an online e-lottery system. The plots included 91 residential and 47 commercial sites. Farmers from the villages of Navuluru, Kuragallu, Nidamarru, Abbarajupalem, Ananthavaram, Rayapudi, Thulluru, Lingayapalem, Borupalem, Nekkallu, Uddandarayunipalem, and Undavalli benefited from the allotment.

A trial run of the randomised online system was conducted before the final draw. Following the lottery, CRDA officials issued provisional certificates to the beneficiaries and advised them to complete the registration process at the earliest. Officials also clarified that no registration fee would be charged.
