SPICMACAY convention from December 31

A four-day State convention of the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPICMACAY) will begin at SPICMACAY Heritage Club in Thiruvananthapuram on December 31.

According to organisers, the convention will bring together students, artistes, and volunteers from across the State to celebrate Indian classical arts, culture, and heritage. The convention will feature art performances, workshops, and interactions with renowned artistes.

SPICMACAY founder Kiran Seth, who was in Kozhikode recently as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the movement, said in a communication here on Thursday that the upcoming convention would serve as a platform for young minds to experience the depth and diversity of Indian culture through direct engagement with legendary artistes. He also said that it would strengthen inter-institutional collaboration among SPICMACAY chapters and expand the volunteer network.
