Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Unveils Asian Aquatics Championship Logo And Mascot

Sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched the mascot and logo for the upcoming 11th Asian Aquatics Championship scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad from September 28 to October 11 on Friday.

Mandaviya was accompanied by officials from the Swimming Federation of India as he unveiled the mascot, named ‘Jalveer’, for the event in Gujarat, which will serve as a qualification meet for the 2026 Asian Games.

“This championship marks a historic milestone for Indian aquatics, offering our athletes the opportunity to showcase their talent against the finest in Asia," Mandaviya said.

“Unveiled the logo and mascot ‘Jalveer’ for the 11th Asian Aquatics Championships today. Congratulations to the Swimming Federation of India and the Government of Gujarat for their dedicated efforts in bringing this prestigious event to Bharat," his post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, read.

“Under the leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi ji, Bharat is emerging as a global sporting destination, equipped with world-class facilities and an inspiring ecosystem for athletes," he added.

The Championship will take place at the newly constructed Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, built as per Olympic specifications, and will host over 30 participating nations across multiple disciplines.

With over 1000 participants expected to arrive in Gujarat for the championships later this month, the event will provide Indian swimmers an opportunity to shine in front of the home crowd.
