‘Sportspersons should practice continuously to achieve their goals’

Sportspersons should be involved in continuous practice to achieve their goals, MLA Raja Venugopal Naik has said.

He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a taluk-level Dasara sports event at Hunsagi on Wednesday.

“One won’t be able to win any competition without practice. Sportspersons should get involved in practice continuously to achieve their goals in sports competitions and this needs much physical stamina,” the MLA said and added that sportspersons should dream of a big goal and put in efforts to take part in events from the taluk level to the international level.

Block Congress Committee chairman Chandrasekhar Dandin appealed to the MLA to establish a sports stadium in Hunsagi town to encourage sportspersons.

Assistant Director of Youth Empowerment and Sports Department Raju Bavihalli, Block Education Officer Yallappa Kadlur and others were present.
