SR University secures 91st rank in NIRF engineering category

SR University (SRU) Chancellor A. Varada Reddy said that the university has secured the 91st rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 in the engineering category, marking its fourth consecutive year among the top 100 institutions nationwide.

Addressing a press conference at the campus near here on Saturday, Mr. Reddy noted that SRU is the only private institution in Telangana to feature in the NIRF Engineering Category and congratulated the faculty members and staff for their efforts in achieving this rank. He highlighted the university’s innovative ecosystem, including SR Innovation Exchange, a Technology Business Incubator, and other research centres.

The university’s strong curriculum, cutting-edge research, and active involvement of faculty and students have been instrumental in earning such awards and accolades, Mr. Reddy said. SR University has consistently attracted talented students and faculty from across the country.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deepak Garg mentioned that SRU topped the ranking among all private institutes and universities in Telangana. “The university’s continuing growth demonstrates its commitment to academics, placements, research, and innovation,” he said. “Notably, SR University is also the youngest university in the country to consistently make its mark in the Top 100 rankings, thanks to its core values of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, strong faculty, and research focus.”

Prof. V. Mahesh, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. R. Archana Reddy, Registrar of the University, were also present at the press meet.
