Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations were held in a grand manner in Denduluru constituency on Saturday. Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar participated as the chief guest in the programmes organised at Challa Chintalapudi village of Denduluru mandal, alongside Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar.
The MP and MLA offered special prayers at Venugopalaswamy and Venkateswara Swamy temples in the village. Expressing happiness, MLA Chintamaneni said that it was a privilege to have the MP visit the constituency on the festive occasion.
Addressing the gathering, MP Mahesh Kumar said that he had always cherished celebrating Sri Krishna Janmashtami since childhood, and was delighted to join the villagers this year. He recalled that he had also actively participated in the celebrations in Eluru constituency last year.
The MP, meanwhile, delivered good news to oil palm farmers struggling with low market prices, on the occasion. He said that research had proven successful in blending palm oil with aviation fuel, and in the next 10–12 years, palm oil could become a viable component of aircraft fuel. With this transformation, oil palm prices could potentially rise to ₹50,000 per tonne, he noted.
Encouraging farmers, Mr. Mahesh Kumar urged them to confidently expand oil palm cultivation, highlighting the promising future for the crop. The event witnessed the participation of Mandal Party secretary Satyanarayana, along with leaders and activists of TDP, JSP, BJP, and a large gathering of villagers.
