Srisailam temple to open on September 8 morning

Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam and all other temples in undivided Kurnool district were closed on Sunday afternoon due to lunar eclipse and will reopen on Monday (September 8) morning.

Executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao, priests and staff closed the main doors of Srisailam temple at 1 p.m. and they would be opened at 5 p.m. on Monday, after which ‘Samprokshana’ will be performed, followed by the early morning rituals.

After offering ‘Maha Mangala Harathi’ to the presiding deities, ‘Alankara Darshan’ will be provided to the devotees from 7.30 a.m. to 2.15 p.m.. Meanwhile, ‘Sparsha Darshan’ and break darshan would be provided from 2.15 p.m. to 4 p.m..

The Sakshi Ganapati temple, Hatakeswaram, Paladhara-Panchadhara and Shikareswaram in the Srisailam town and other temples in the Nandyal and Kurnool districts have also been closed.
