Stalin inaugurates new buildings, other projects for various departments

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday virtually inaugurated new facilities in Arulmigu Subramaniyaswamy temple at Tiruchendur in Thoothukudi district constructed at a total cost of ₹10.57 crore. He also distributed promotion orders to six priests serving the Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy temple.

Mr. Stalin also launched the ‘Nutrition Farming Mission’ that aims to enhance nutritional security and to increase farmers’ net income through production of vital crops. The mission includes distribution of vegetable seed kits, fruit plant kits and pulses seed kits, among others.

The CM inaugurated new buildings constructed by the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department in various locations across the State at a total cost of ₹103 crore. He also inaugurated new buildings constructed by the Animal Husbandry Department in various locations across the State at a total cost of ₹25.25 crore.

Ministers M.R.K. Panneerselvam, M.P. Saminathan, Anitha R. Radhakrishnan and P.K. Sekarbabu, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and senior officials were present on the occasion in the Secretariat in Chennai.

The CM also chaired a series of meetings in the Secretariat on Friday to review the functions of the Special Programmes Implementation, Housing and Urban Development, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Departments.
