Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Tuesday virtually inaugurated the police station in Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus at Kilambakkam in Chengalpattu district. The building spread over 30,000 sq.ft. has three floors and was constructed by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) at a cost of ₹18 crore.
During his visit to his Kolathur Assembly constituency on Tuesday, the CM inaugurated additional buildings constructed for Chennai Girls Higher Secondary School on Market Street in Perambur at a cost of ₹9 crore. He also virtually unveiled the foundation for 14 new projects to be implemented by the CMDA at a total cost of ₹17 crore.
Mr. Stalin also handed over two-wheelers to three individuals, who lost their vehicles in a fire that broke out in a private gymnasium in Kolathur. In a social media post, Mr. Stalin said his visit after a long time due to his health made him feel as if he was away for a long time and that he felt reinvigorated to be back in his constituency. He also thanked all those who enquired about his health.
Ministers K.N. Nehru and P.K. Sekarbabu; Chennai Mayor R. Priya; legislators Thayagam Kavi, A. Vetriazhagan and Joseph Samuel and senior officials and police officers were also present.
