Kakinada District Collector S. Shan Mohan announced an exemption on stamp duty and registration fee for the transfer of 2,180 acres in the the Kakinada Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) to farmers in the district.
The transfer of the 2,180 acres, which was excluded from the KSEZ, had been delayed since 2020, due to stamp duty and registration fees, which farmers were required to pay during the registration process.
In an official release, District Collector S. Shan Mohan said that the exemption of stamp duty and registration fee will not be applied to developers or to the land earmarked for the infrastructure facilities in the KSEZ.
