Bihar is set to welcome a massive Rs6,000 crore investment as Avadh Steel plans to establish a modern steel plant along the Gaya-Dobhi road. Industries Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal confirmed the proposal, highlighting the project's potential to generate significant employment, boost industrial output, and invigorate the local economy.
Patna: Avadh Steel will set up a modern steel plant in Bihar with an investment of Rs6,000 crore, said industries minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal after his meeting with Deepak Agarwal, the managing director of Super Shakti and Avadh Steel, in Patna on Monday.During the meeting, Deepak presented the proposal for an investment of approximately Rs6,000 crore to establish a state-of-the-art steel plant in the state. The company is willing to set up its unit along the Gaya-Dobhi road industrial corridor.The proposed steel project is considered a significant step towards strengthening the state’s industrial landscape, Jaiswal said. He added this investment will create large-scale direct and indirect employment opportunities, increase industrial production capacity, and boost the local economy.
It will also encourage ancillary and small-scale industries in the state, the minister added.During the meeting, the minister outlined the state’s progressive industrial policies, excellent infrastructure, and investment-friendly environment, and assured Agrawal full cooperation of the state govt.He said the state govt is committed to promoting industrial investment and developing Bihar as a manufacturing hub.
