Stephen Curry and his entrepreneur wife, Ayesha, diverted the spotlight last month when they were spotted with Barack Obama and Michelle Obama during the NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles.

Recently, the Golden State Warriors’ cormerstone shared an untold part about his friendship with the former US president and his wife. During an exclusive interview with People, Curry revealed what exactly led to his friendship with Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

He said, "It never feels normal to say you're friends with the president and the First Lady, but it's special. It started with one of my college buddies who did a fundraiser at Davidson.

Then, I joined the council and did a couple of panels and speeches at Capitol Hill, and got to go to the Oval Office for the first time."

The Golden State Warriors icon further mentioned, "Then, I think it turned out that we got to play golf with him when we went to Martha's Vineyard one year and spent some more time with both him and Michelle. It's special.
