Student organisations will stage a protest at the office of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) today, over the delay in admissions to Degree courses.
In a joint statement issued on Wednesday, Student Federation of India State secretary K. Prasanna Kumar, All-India Student Federation State vice-president Sai Kumar and Progressive Democratic Students Union State assistant secretary Rajesh raised concerns over the delay in starting admissions for first-year Degree courses, despite the academic year having begun over a month ago. They pointed out that the Intermediate results have been declared, and students were waiting to join Degree courses. The delay would cause loss of precious time.
The student leaders also criticised the online admission process claiming that many students were denied seats under this system and demanded that the admission process be carried out in offline mode.
