Hyderabad experienced a sudden spell of heavy rainfall on Sunday evening (November 2) surprising residents and commuters alike. The city, which witnessed a bright and sunny day, saw skies turn overcast around sunset, followed by a heavy downpour across several areas.

Though being a Sunday meant fewer vehicles on the roads, many commuters were caught unprepared by the downpour. Several people who did not have umbrellas or raincoats were seen taking shelter under metro pillars and shop fronts as the rain lashed the city. The rain also led to waterlogging in several areas, including Bible House under the railway bridge, Praja Bhavan, Virinchi Hospital, and parts of Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills.
