Engineer Rohit Kumar from Meerut allegedly died by suicide in an Agra hotel. Police found a pen drive and note detailing his final wishes and a female doctor.

A 30-year-old engineer from Meerut, Rohit Kumar, allegedly died by suicide in a hotel room in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Police reportedly found a pen drive and a suicide note at the scene in which Rohit expressed his final wishes regarding his body and mentioned the name of a female doctor.

According to a report in Aaj Tak, Rohit was found hanging from a white bedsheet in a hotel located in the Shahganj area of Agra on August 4. Police reached the spot with the field unit and shifted the body. A detailed suicide note along with a pen drive were found near him.

‘I Am Her First Patient, She Is My Last Doctor’

In the suicide note, Rohit requested that his body not be handed over to family members or relatives. Instead, he wished that it be donated to medical students or for organ donation.

“Mere marne ke baad 13 din ka drama mat karna. Ghar par sabko bulao, fir 13 din tak drama karo. Main jaise gayab hu, waise hi rehne do. Main uska pehla mareez aur wo meri aakhiri doctor hai (Don’t do any drama for 13 days after my death. Call everyone home once and do all the 13-day rituals together. Let me remain missing just the way I am now. I am her first patient and she is my last doctor)," he wrote in the note as quoted by Aaj Tak.

“Meri body ko parivaar aur rishtedaaro ko na de. Daan ya fir medical student ko de di jaye. Ang daan kar diye jaye, jise doctor ki padhai ke liye kaam mein liya ja sake. Main gayab ho sakta hun, par mera sharir nahi. (Don’t give my body to family or relatives. Donate it or give it to medical students. Donate my organs so they can help in medical studies. I may disappear, but not my body)," he added.

Female Doctor Named In Suicide Note

In the PDF file found on the pen drive, Rohit had written the name and mobile number of a female doctor, Aaj Tak reported. According to police, this doctor is currently working in another district. Investigating officers are trying to establish what connection Rohit had with her and why he mentioned her in the note.

Family Details

Rohit was a resident of Meerut. His father, Salekh Chand, retired from the vigilance department five years ago. His mother passed away nearly two years ago. Rohit was unmarried and lived at home.

He had one brother and two sisters. His brother and sister-in-law are professors based in Dubai, while both his sisters are married. Rohit had studied engineering from Ghaziabad but was reportedly under mental stress due to unemployment for a long time.
