James Gunn recently gave fans a special behind-the-scenes look at ‘Superman’, showing how he and lead actor David Corenswet had different thoughts about the film’s big climax.

The video shows the team preparing to shoot the climax. David Corenswet first performed the dialogue exactly as written, but later admitted he couldn’t fully connect with the lines, and he shared his doubts with James Gunn. He explained that his theatre background often makes him question things, and instead of dismissing him, James patiently listened and explained the deeper meaning of the speech.
After their discussion, David understood the vision and performed the scene as intended.

He is wonderful."In the caption of the video, James Gunn wrote, “This was one of my favourite moments on the set of #Superman and was freaked out (and so happy) to find out it had been filmed. This and many other moments were captured in “Adventures in Making Superman," a 60-minute making-of feature showcasing intimate behind-the-scenes of the movie will be available starting today for consumers who purchase Superman digitally at home on participating platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Fandango at Home, and others.

Just a month after its theatrical release, ‘Superman’ is now available on OTT platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, starting August 15. Along with the movie, fans also get access to a new 60-minute documentary titled Adventures in Making ‘Superman’, which reveals how the film was made. The documentary, now available with the digital release, captures such candid moments from the set.
