The Sadak Suraksha Abhiyan, an initiative by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) in association with NHAI, led by Shri Nitin Gadkari, has moved beyond its fourth edition into a more action-driven phase. After the launch of Season 4 themed ‘Parwah Se Kartavya Tak’ at the national telethon, the initiative is now stepping into cities across India, taking the message of road safety from screens to streets and from awareness to participation.
With Suraksha Reloaded concerts, the focus is clear: make road safety stick, not just as a message people hear, but as a habit they carry forward, using entertainment as the bridge to build that connection.
The first stop was Nagpur, where Suraksha Reloaded concert marked the beginning of this on-ground journey. The concert brought together voices that are actively championing the cause, creating an experience that encouraged people to reflect on their own behaviour on the roads.
The evening opened with the Konkan Kanya Band, setting the tone with high-energy performances that blended Bollywood and regional sounds. What stood out wasn’t just the music, but how naturally the message of responsible road behaviour was woven into the experience.
Then came Nagpur’s own Neha Thombre, whose sharp wit and relatable humour struck a different chord. She made people laugh, but more importantly, she made them think. Her performance translated everyday road habits into moments of reflection.
Shifting the energy into something more layered, Ganesh Joshi followed by mixing insight with humour. He brought perspective to the campaign’s core message, reinforcing why road safety isn’t optional, it’s personal.
The final segment brought the spotlight back to the mission itself. Shri Nitin Gadkari took the stage alongside Marathi actor Amey Wagh and filmmaker Nipun Dharmadhikari from BhaDiPa, engaging in a conversation that was grounded, practical, and focused on responsibility. It connected policy with people, which is exactly where real change begins.
What Suraksha Reloaded achieved in Nagpur goes beyond awareness. It built recall, made the message relatable, and most importantly, it made people feel like participants, not just spectators.
Road safety isn’t a one-day campaign, it’s a daily choice, and if people walked out of that concert thinking twice before their next turn on the road, then this movement is already doing its job.
