A call for integrating sustainability into the healthcare sector took centre stage at the graduation ceremony of the Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), where 150 MBBS students were conferred degrees on Thursday.

Delivering the keynote address, Raj Narayan Tiwari, director of the Indian Council of Medical Research, National Institute for Research in Environmental Health, Bhopal, emphasised that healthcare must adopt sustainable practices in response to rising global temperatures and ecological degradation affecting public health.
