Swedish House Mafia's DJ Axwell to return to India in December, along with Sara Landry and David Guetta

As the storm of the dance beats brews in Mumbai, Swedish House Mafia’s DJ Axwell (aka Axel Christofer Hedfors) returns in December to headline the Sunburn Festival 2025, which is dated from 19 to 21.

Along with the iconic music producer, Sara Landry and David Guetta would be joining the act as well.

DJ Axwell returns to India

Axwell is no stranger to Indian soil and has performed multiple times before. “This year’s Sunburn Festival brings together a line-up that truly reflects where electronic music stands today and where it’s headed. With global heavyweights like David Guetta, Sara Landry, and Axwell, taking the stage, we are celebrating the artists who have not only refined the genre worldwide but also found a special place in the hearts of Indian fans,” Karan Singh, CEO of Sunburn Festival, said as per ANI, adding that the lineup pushes boundaries and brings people together.

About Axwell and his Indian legacy

Axwell, who established a solo career and label in 2005, has had the creative hits that beam through generations. Tracks such as ‘In My Mind,’ ‘I Found U,’ ‘Sun Is Shining,’ ‘Center of the Universe,’ ‘Don’t You Worry Child,’ ‘Something New,’ and many more, made an indelible mark in the music industry. As for his legacy in India, he has been playing his music in front of the desi audience for almost two decades. After his performance in 2007, Axwell headlined Sunburn Goa in 2011 and returned in 2013 with Swedish House Mafia on a tour. In 2018, Axwell returned in a duo as ‘Axwell^Ingrosso,’ along with his fellow Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso, according to News18. The 47-year-old recently visited India to add the EDM spice during the IPL 2024 in between the innings at Chennai’s M.
