T.N. urges CWMA to ensure 36 tmc of water in Biligundlu

The State government on Tuesday urged the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) to ensure 36.76 tmc of water in Karnataka’s Biligundlu due for September. T.N.’s Secretary of Water Resources Department J. Jayakanthan, and Chairman of Cauvery Technical Cell R. Subramanian virtually took part in the 43^rd meeting of the CWMA, chaired by its chairman S.K. Haldar. As on August 26, the storage in Mettur dam was at its capacity at 93.470 tmc, they said, and pointed out that it reached that storage for the fifth time this year, a release said.
