Talk on emerging defence technologies

Commander (retired) Jayakrishnan N. Nair, Indian Navy, delivered a talk on ‘emerging defence technologies and its opportunities’ at a programme jointly organised by TrEST Research Park, Kerala Start-up Mission, Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Student Chapter on Tuesday.

The session highlighted the rapid advancements in defence technologies and the growing scope for innovation, research, and entrepreneurship in the field. It also shed light on the transformative role of emerging technologies like AI, robotics, autonomous systems and cyber defence in shaping modern warfare and national security.

TrEST Research Park chief executive officer Rajasree M.S. was also present on the occasion.
