Tamil Nadu election 2026: New taluk, hospital upgrade, bus services key demands in Senthamangalam constituency

The Senthanmangalam constituency, comprising Senthamangalam and Kolli Hills taluks and portions of Rasipuram, Mohanur and Namakkal taluks, is a tourism hub in the district.

It is considered an AIADMK stronghold, having elected the Dravidian major seven times in 1977, 1980, 1984, 1989 [AIADMK(J)], 1991, 2001 and 2016. The DMDK won in 2011 under the AIADMK-led alliance. The DMK won five times in 1962, 1971, 1996, 2006, and 2021, and the Congress twice, in 1957 and 1967.
