Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday (August 22, 2025) said Tamil Nadu stood at the forefront of India’s war on drugs, and attempts to malign the State collapsed under the weight of the facts.

“Massive seizures and crackdowns speak for themselves. Conviction rates under NDPS rose from 80 percent in 2022 to 88 percent by June 2025, with 3,493 offenders convicted from 4,889 cases, the highest ever,” Mr. Stalin said in a social media post.

He also endorsed an article written by Director-General of Police (DGP) Shankar Jiwal published in The Hindu on Friday. The Chief Minister said it was packed with data and evidence.
