Tamil Nadu Student Stabbed To Death At Puducherry Restobar During Birthday Celebration, 8 Held

A birthday celebration at a restobar in Puducherry turned tragic when a service captain allegedly stabbed two students, killing one and injuring another after a heated argument.

Birthday celebration at a restobar in Puducherry went fatally tragic as a student died in a knife attack between students and staff. In the altercation during the early hours of Sunday, service captain allegedly stabbed two students, one killed and other got seriously injured.

As per a report by NDTV, Shajan, a university student in Chennai, organised his birthday party at Puducherry’s OMG Restobar. Approximately, ten of his friends were attending the party.

As per the officials, a heated argument broke out between the group and bouncers had to intervene. The students were asked to vacate the place and they escorted out. This led to an altercation between the staff and the students.

NDTV further reported that during the fight, restaurant’s service captain allegedly retrieved a kitchen knife and attacked two students. Both injured students were rushed to hospital where 23-year-old Moshiq from Sivaganga district, a student at SRM University near Chennai, died. The other student in undergoing treatment.

Police have arrested the service captain and several others were also held. It is now investigating all the digital evidences and would take appropriate action accordingly.

Andhra Pradesh: Student Found Dead In College

A first-year intermediate student studying at RNR Intermediate College, located at ISKCON Centre in Nellore city of Andhra Pradesh, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Hemashree, a native of Rasapalayam village in Satyavedu mandal, Tirupati district.

The student’s parents alleged that the college management was responsible for their daughter’s death. Upon hearing the news, a large number of relatives, along with the parents of students, staged a protest in front of the college.
