GUNTUR: Senior TDP leader Dr Kodela Sivaram donated Rs 10 lakh to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for its Sri Balaji Arogya Vara Prasadini healthcare scheme, which provides medical support to devotees and the needy. Dr Sivaram, managing director of Kiora infra construction, along with his family members, visited Tirumala and handed over the donation demand draft to TTD executive officer Muddada Ravichandra. Appreciating the gesture, the TTD EO congratulated Dr. Sivaram for extending support to the temple body’s charitable healthcare initiative, which aims to provide medical assistance and relief to devotees and economically weaker sections.
Dr. Sivaram has been actively involved in several charitable and service activities in memory of his father, the late Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, a veteran political leader and former speaker of the Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly. Sivaprasada Rao, who was elected to the assembly six times, was widely known as the “Palnadu Tiger” for his strong leadership and commitment to the development of the Palnadu region.
He played a crucial role in the development of several parts of Palnadu, particularly the constituencies of Narasaraopet and Sattenapalli, where he was regarded as a leader synonymous with progress and welfare. Continuing that legacy, Dr Sivaram has been supporting initiatives related to healthcare, education and social welfare, ensuring that the spirit of public service associated with his father continues to benefit people in the region and beyond.
