The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders from the district on Tuesday (May 26, 2026) launched a tirade against the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and its leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for casting aspersions on Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu regarding the deaths and murders of his family members.
Speaking to reporters at the party office in Nandyal on Tuesday, Ministers B.C. Janardhan Reddy and N. Md. Farooq, TDP district president Gouru Charitha Reddy and others called the YSRCP an ‘axe party’ that encourages and indulges in violence. “Their governance over the past five years, their mindset and the policies they are currently pursuing reflect the same,” Mr. Janardhan Reddy said.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy questioned why Mr. Jagan could not deliver justice in the murder case of his uncle and former minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, despite being in power for five years. “Why did Mr. Jagan, who demanded a CBI inquiry into his uncle’s murder when he was in the Opposition, change his stance after coming to power and say that a CBI inquiry was unnecessary? The CBI officials investigating the case were also threatened,” he alleged.
Alleging that terror was unleashed during the five-year YSRCP regime in the form of murders, violence, and lawlessness, the Minister stated that the YSRCP harassed TDP activists and leaders by filing false cases against them. “Attempted murder cases were slapped even in trivial matters,” he said. The Minister noted that people have reduced the YSRCP to just 11 seats because of its anarchic governance.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy said that Mr. Jagan continues to threaten investors who come forward to establish industries and has also resorted to intimidation against those who stepped forward with proposals to establish medical colleges.
He said the coalition government is committed to delivering governance focused on both welfare and development. “In fulfilment of the promise made by Nara Lokesh during “Yuva Galam”, we are creating 20 lakh job opportunities for the youth. We are discussing with industrialists and extending an invitation for them to invest in the state,” he said, adding that they have already provided six lakh jobs.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy said the YSRCP leaders are living in a delusion that they will return to power but they will never come back to power. He said that despite minor internal issues within the coalition partners, they are moving forward together in unity.
