Teacher transfers and promotions counselling schedule begins 

A total of 2,324 vacancies in the posts of School Assistants in various teaching subjects and 640 Primary School Headmasters in government and local body schools will be filled by August 26 by way of promotions.

As per the school education department, the SAs and HMs as per their eligibility can exercise their web options and participate in the promotions counselling.

Earlier, teacher transfers and promotion counselling was conducted during June-July in 2024 and 47,244 teachers were issued transfer orders while 21,419 teachers were posted to other schools by way of promotions. Another 1,200 teachers were issued posting orders in other schools by way of allotment under spouse category and 10,006 teachers were issued posting orders by way of direct recruitment.
