A teenager was stabbed by three boys outside the gate of a school in Delhi on Thursday. Three accused minors were arrested by the police on the same day.
The incident took place in front of Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya in Paharganj area. A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in what police have described as a revenge-driven attack.
According to police, the injured student arrived at the Paharganj police station with a knife still pierced in his chest. He was immediately taken to Kalawati Saran Hospital and later referred to RML Hospital, where doctors successfully removed the weapon.
In his statement to police, the boy said he was called near the school gate by the accused, who was accompanied by two others.
An argument broke out, during which one boy allegedly stabbed the victim while the others held him. A broken beer bottle used to threaten the boy was also recovered from the scene.
Police said the assault was linked to an old enmity. The main accused allegedly believed the victim had provoked a group of boys to attack him days earlier.
All three accused were arrested within 3 hours of the incident, following targeted raids and the use of local intelligence, police said.
