Bihar Leader of Opposition and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav narrowly escaped a serious accident early Saturday morning when a truck allegedly collided with his convoy, injuring his three security personnel on National Highway 22 near Goraul in Vaishali district.
The incident occurred around 1:30 am when Yadav along with other party leaders were returning from a programme in Madhepura to Patna.
“We were returning from a programme in Madhepura and had stopped for tea. While we were stationary, a truck lost control and hit two to three of our vehicles right in front of me. Some of our security personnel were standing there… Three of them got injured,” Tejashwi said.
He added that the accident happened “just five feet away from him”.

“Had it been slightly more out of control, it could have hit us too,” Yadav said informing that the administration stopped the truck at the toll ahead and detained it.
The injured security personnel were rushed to Sadar Hospital in Hajipur and are currently receiving medical attention.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, with the detained truck driver being questioned to ascertain the cause of the accident.
