Telangana ACB traps Mulugu DEO, junior assistant while ‘accepting bribe’

Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught Mulugu district educational officer (DEO) G. Panini, and Junior Assistant at the office of the DEO T. Dilip Kumar, on Monday (June 16, 2025) while they were allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 from a complainant for doing an official favour.

According to ACB sources, the duo allegedly demanded the bribe for accepting the joining report of the complainant and issue orders permitting him to resume duty after the leave period.

The bribe amount of ₹20,000 was recovered from the office table of the accused officer-2. A case was registered against the duo and further investigation is underway.
