HYDERABAD: A chilling video captured the heartbreaking aftermath of a collision between a TGSRTC bus and a gravel-laden truck near Khanapur Gate, under Chevella police station in Rangareddy district, killing 20 people and injuring several others.A video from the site shows mangled bus strewn across the road, with injured passengers crying for help as locals risked their lives to pull them to safety.

Several passengers trapped inside the bus were quickly rescued by nearby residents.According to Chevella ACP B Kishan, the RTC bus had started from Tandur and was heading toward Chevella. Rajendranagar DCP Yogesh Goutam said the truck was in the right lane when the crash occurred.

“We have to verify whether the accident happened while the truck driver was attempting to overtake or if he was driving in the wrong direction,” the DCP added.At the time of the accident, there were 40 passengers on the bus. The load of gravel in the truck fell on the passengers after the collision, worsening the situation.Following the incident, Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy instructed officials to reach the site immediately and take necessary relief measures.
