Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his Cabinet colleagues joined the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar, supporting Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s fight against the alleged malpractices in the voters list in the country.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi has been alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government had removed voters in assistance with the Election Commission of India (ECI) in Bihar to favour the ruling NDA alliance. The issue reached the Supreme Court that directed the ECI to publish the names of 65 lakh voters and giving an opportunity to them to get enrolled.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Dansari Anasuya (Seethakka) and Ponnam Prabhakar were among others who joined the Yatra in Supaul in Bihar.
Mr. Revanth Reddy and the Ministers reached Darbhanga in Bihar from New Delhi on Tuesday morning to join the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’, launched against the Election Commission’s special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.
The Chief Minister was seen on the SUV along with Rahul Gandhi and senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and other representatives of the INDIA bloc, as the Gandhis waved to the people lining across the city to welcome them.
