Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday (August 28, 2025) would conduct an aerial survey of the districts affected by flood and heavy rains. Over 200 mm rain was recorded in Kamareddy, Medak and Nirmal from Wednesday morning to midnight, with the highest of 418.3 mm in Rajampet of Kamareddy. And, 100 mm to 200 mm was recorded in parts of Mancherial, Siddipet, Nizamabad, Mulugu, Adilabad and Sircilla, according to the data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS). 

Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao held a tele conference with collectors and superintendents of police of the Kamareddy, Medak, Nizamabad, Sircilla and Nirmal districts on Wednesday night, to review the measures taken for rescue, rehabilitation and prevention of loss of life and property.

The top official directed the collectors and SPs to be on alert as rain was forecast for Thursday as well. If need be, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams would be deployed in Kamareddy and Nirmal which were predicted to receive heavy rain on Thursday, as per a press release issued on Wednesday.
